What is it like diving offshore Jacksonville Beach?

Florida's Best Kept Secret.

Roughly 8-10 miles offshore is where visibility increases and wrecks, ledges, and natural bottom reveal themselves. We usually go anywhere from 8 to 30 miles offshore. Depths range from 60' to 130'. Therefore, our charters require you to have an Advanced Open Water Certification or equivalent.

There are HUNDREDS of wrecks offshore Jacksonville. Whether a spearfisher, photographer, or just looking for a leisure dive, there is diving for everyone to enjoy offshore Jacksonville Beach.  In fact, Jacksonville has over 300 artificial reefs — more than anywhere else on the East Coast.  Viz varies by day but many days you can see the wrecks from the boat!  There is so much to explore offshore Jax.

The best time of year to dive offshore Jax Beach is summer but our charter runs year round as long as the weather permits.

Atlantic Pro Divers has their own boats. The Sandy Loo, our personal 39' Contender is what we teach off of and The Native Diver Charter, Jacksonville's most popular diving charter boat. The Native Diver Charter has run offshore recreational, spearfishing and research charters for over 40 years.
